Today, Tuesday 30th of June, we celebrate the Green Line Luas 16th birthday. On this day, 16 years ago, the Green Line Luas carried its first passengers. In those 16 years, we’ve grown a lot;
We are now stretched from Brides Glen on the southside to Broombridge on the northside, totalling 24.5 km long and 35 stops.
Luas has been a key contributor to the Dublin’s integrated transport system. It is an iconic symbol in our capital city which we are all very proud of.
Thank you to all the staff who have contributed to Luas’ success over the years. Without you, we couldn’t transport the millions of passengers that we do every year.
Happy Sweet Sixteenth Birthday Green Line Luas.
