Transdev is supporting UITP and World Bank #PT4ME Campaign. #PT4ME campaign coinciding with Women’s Day 2018 is about advancing the safety, security and opportunities for women in public transport, believing that public transport must be safe and secure for all users.

On this day, International Women’s Day 2018, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and express my personal thank you to all the women of Transdev Group for their commitment and dedication to the individuals and communities we serve. Your daily actions provide safe and sustainable mobility to over 3.5 billion customers across 19 countries each year. I believe that a diverse workforce is an imperative today to leverage and attract talent, foster innovation, and to hold true our commitment to equal opportunity. As an organization we must reflect the communities to better serve them.
I would like to recognize that still today full gender equality has not been achieved in society, and our industry is no different; women are still not represented in equal numbers in many of our jobs, including management.
This is why Transdev Group has decided to actively support the UITP and the World Bank campaign #PT4ME that aims at promoting gender-responsive policies in public transportation. Though this year’s particular campaign addresses the issue of perceived safety and security by women in public transportation, the cooperation aims much broader such as advancing gender equality in our industry.
I urge all of us to take a moment to watch the #PT4ME video and to reflect on how our own daily actions can create a more welcoming and inclusive public transportation for everyone.
