Friday the 10th of August marked the launch of the National Transport Anti-Racism Campaign, unveiled at Heuston Station in Dublin. Commuters are invited to “Join Us On the Journey” and to take a stand against racism on public transport. The artwork by renowned collage artist Charis Tsevis used for the campaign featured 100’s of commuters standing in solidarity against racism. Over 1,000 selfies were donated to the cause by commuters and the images were used to create the artwork for the new advertising campaign. Transport for Ireland and the Immigrant Council of Ireland come together annually to tackle racism on public transport, with this being the 6th year such campaigns have taken place.
