The #fillaluas shoebox appeal is an annual initiative organised by Transdev in partnership with Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH). The aim is simple; to fill an entire Luas with gifts.
Each year, generous donations are made by the public, staff and businesses, to provide homeless people with basic essentials such as gloves, scarves, hats and toiletries – and this year’s amazing response was no different. Contributions are distributed by ICHH to the Homeless directly, and to the many charities and agencies working with the Homeless in Dublin, Cork and around the country.
Transdev would like to thank this years volunteers who worked from 7am to 7pm at Connolly Station, as well as the media, which resulted in the donation of 10,000 boxes. This was a wonderful and very fulfilling day for all involved!
