Tram 3001 is back serving the people of Dublin!

In March 2020, tram 3001 was involved in a road traffic accident which caused significant damage to the tram.

Following a full assessment and specification for repair developed in-house by Transdev Ireland engineering staff, the tram was brought to France where repairs were carried out by Safra, a company that specialises in the repair and renovation of passenger transport equipment in France.

The tram returned to Dublin earlier this year, and final work took place over the last few months to return the tram back to passenger service.

Ben Dwars, Managing Director of Transdev Ireland shares his congratulations:

“I am delighted that we have tram 3001 back in service. A lot of effort and work has been put into this. Good team work, a milestone achieved. Congratulations to all.”

Well done to all Transdev Ireland and Safra staff involved in this project.

Welcome back 3001!
