Dublin Pride took place in the city centre on Saturday the 30th of June this year. Transdev uniforms were changed so staff could show their support for colleagues, friends, family, and other members of the LGBT+ community.
Over 25,000 participants were at the event, with the celebrations being the second largest in Dublin after St. Patrick’s Day. Transdev Ireland this year partnered with Youth Work Ireland and BelongTo, who on the morning launched the National LGBT Youth Strategy. We transported over 400 LGBT youths from the Youth Work Ireland HQ on Dominick Street to the parade which started at St Stephen’s Green. Minister Katherine Zappone also launched the National LGBTI+ Youth Strategy on the day.
Special thanks are due to everyone who took part by showing support, and to all staff who made sure everyone got to and from the celebrations safely.
