Transdev team up with Inner City Helping Homeless for our annual Fill a Luas event

Transdev are proud to partner once again with Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH) this year and we are appealing to the public to fill shoeboxes and bring them along on Thursday the 6th of December to Connolly Luas stop.

We would request that the shoeboxes be filled with practical items such as socks, underwear, hat, scarf, gloves, toothpaste, toothbrush, sweets, shampoo, shower gel, and baby wipes.

To facilitate those who cannot make it on the 6th, Fill A Luas Week will run from Mon 3rd to Fri 7th December, allowing the public to drop shoeboxes to the Luas depots in Red Cow and Broombridge from 9am – 5pm where our volunteers will be collecting shoeboxes. There are also several other locations around Dublin and the greater Dublin area which are collecting shoeboxes for the appeal.

Services provided for the homeless on the day include:

  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Haircuts
  • Tea/Coffee, Donuts, Popcorn, Candy Floss, Slush Puppies
  • Santa’s Grotto
  • Giggles The Clown onsite all day
  • Buskers on site all afternoon

The event always receives fantastic public support and this year we are looking to break last year’s record of 20,000 shoeboxes.
